Choosing between all of the beautiful Omaha wedding venues is one of the most important decisions you’ll make while planning your big day. Do you picture an urban chic setting with industrial details, or are you more of the opulent grand ballroom type? Do you prefer a vibrant downtown venue or a quieter space that feels more like an intimate retreat?
Whatever your vision for your wedding day, Omaha offers a wide variety of wedding venues to fit every style and budget.
As an Omaha wedding photographer, I’ve worked at countless venues throughout the city and surrounding areas over the last decade. In this guide, I’m sharing my favorite Omaha wedding venues, each offering unique features for a truly unforgettable day.
I’ll start this list off with one of my favorite Omaha wedding venues: Happy Hollow Club! In addition to 175+ acres of rolling hills (sooo many photo ops), this historic country club is home to a 77,000-square-foot clubhouse equipped with a dance floor, AV system, and in-house rentals.
The ballroom’s design is the perfect balance of modern and timeless, ready for you to infuse it with your unique taste and personality. I love that they offer in-house catering – one less vendor for you to seek out (and their food is amazing!). They also have the perfect getting-ready suites for both sides of the wedding party, fixed with luxurious moldings and finishings. I’ve personally found that my true-to-color photography style works hand-in-hand with this venue. The events director, Teri, is also a blessing to work with on your wedding!

Leo Ballroom exudes vintage elegance with an Art Deco aesthetic that dates back to the Roaring 20s. Tucked in the heart of downtown, this Omaha wedding venue boasts vaulted ceilings, a grand entrance marble staircase, and a classic black-and-white dance floor in the middle of the space. My favorite features are the sweet Juliette balconies overlooking the celebration from each corner of the room!
This location, nestled right in the most picturesque portion of downtown Omaha is as gorgeous as it is convenient. You won’t have to worry about stepping too far away from your venue to have the perfect photos.

Modern luxury abounds at the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, where couples can choose between two grand ballrooms. The rooftop Schimmel Ballroom offers unmatched sunset views from the garden terrace, while the first-floor Gold Coast Ballroom has a set of French doors that open to a private veranda overlooking the pool. You can’t go wrong with either of these gorgeous spaces!
The Schimmel Ballroom seamlessly fits into my vision and aesthetic as a true-to-color and timeless wedding photographer, offering gorgeous, overflowing natural light and soft neutral backdrops. If you’re ready to take the indoor portraits of your dreams, this historic ballroom is the place to be. Recently under the leadership of Rachel Martin, I’m sure you will be in good hands when booking at the Cottonwood Hotel.

Just across the street from the Gene Leahy Mall, The Farnam Hotel definitely has the chic factor going for it. Its contemporary aesthetic makes it look sleek and sophisticated, while still feeling completely warm and inviting. The Rosewater Ballroom has the coolest gold lighting fixture that gives it just the right amount of industrial style, while the rest of the space is neutral to allow for a fully personalized wedding experience.
As many of my couples seek a wedding weekend where you can have it all, The Farnam Hotel truly offers it. From their Catalyst Bar—which is perfect for hosting welcome receptions—to their upstairs happy hour bar and brunch spot, you could truly have your entire wedding weekend within The Farnam. Did I mention The Farnam Hotel has the most hospitable experience of any other hotel in Omaha? Their staff has been truly kind and helpful in every interaction I have had with them.
Rain? No problem. Check out Ally + Shane’s rainy wedding at The Farnam Hotel.
Art lovers and architecture aficionados alike will appreciate the many beautiful spaces that The Joslyn has to offer. From the old-school Art Deco vibes of The Fountain Court to the modern lines of the Cafe Atrium, there’s an aesthetic for everyone. I personally love shooting portraits in the Sculpture Garden and the iconic steps. Perhaps the coolest part about hosting a wedding at The Joslyn is that your guests get a private viewing of a nearby gallery for the first hour of your celebration! When I say there is no place like The Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, there truly isn’t.
It’s hard to beat The Empire Room’s views of the downtown skyline. Just across the street from Turner Park, couples can rent outdoor space in the park for their ceremony before retreating to this Omaha reception hall. With minimalist design, white walls, and lots of natural light, it’s easy to make this space feel entirely your own.
As the original country club in Nebraska, The Field Club of Omaha holds a special badge of honor as an exclusive, tradition-bound wedding venue. Between an elegant ballroom inside the clubhouse and a sprawling 18-hole golf course, this historic wedding venue in Omaha has everything you need for a memorable celebration. For intimate summer wedding ceremonies in Omaha, I love to see happy hours held on the wrap-around porch above the pool where guests can enjoy the sunny weather.
Near Raven Oaks, the Omaha Country Club is a gorgeous property that boasts 18 holes of verdant hills and lush scenery. However, the reception space is what really wins me over. With a statement brick fireplace, exposed dark wood beams, and iron chandeliers, its Bavarian-inspired architecture creates a warm and dramatic ambiance that looks incredible when bathed in candlelight. The charming entrance simply can’t be beat for the most incredible sunset photos.
Chic and stylish with brick walls and wood ceilings, The Omar is the definition of an industrial chic wedding venue in Omaha. With windows on all sides, there’s so much beautiful natural light to soak in. Off the main space, there’s also a cool deck where you can set up a lounge area or an outdoor bar. This midtown venue is such a versatile space – there’s so much you can do!
Located in South Omaha, Livestock Exchange Ballrooms offers a pair of full-service Omaha wedding venues atop a historic building with amazing city views. Floor-to-ceiling windows and 22-foot ceilings make these spaces feel bright and open, while its neutral palette lends itself to whatever wedding aesthetic you prefer. The windows are truly astonishing and one-of-a-kind when you’re seeking out a venue.
Steeped in history, this iconic downtown Omaha wedding venue is unlike any other. The Durham Museum lives in the historic building that was home to Union Station in the mid-1900s. Today, it operates as a history museum that couples can rent out for their Omaha wedding celebrations. The Art Deco design style is absolutely stunning with its original chandeliers hanging from 65-foot ceilings. I especially love shooting photos in front of the building’s old-school marquee and across the black and white tile.
There are so many beautiful spaces in the Holland Center, but my personal favorites are Mammel Courtyard and Scott Hall. Mammel Courtyard is a lovely, lush green space with modern architecture, and it’s perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony in downtown Omaha.
If you’re after a romantic candlelight dinner vibe, there’s no better place than Scott Hall. Seating up to 350 people, this unique reception space in Omaha doubles as a recital hall, so you can bet that it offers unparalleled acoustics and built-in specialty lighting. If you’re hiring a live band, prepare for the performance of a lifetime!
Italian architecture meets contemporary style at The Magnolia Hotel, which is located in the center of downtown Omaha’s vibrant arts and entertainment district. The iconic building features a cozy brick courtyard, luxury amenities, and tons of urban style for a wedding experience that blends old-school charm with modern elegance. (And fresh cookies each day are an added perk!) The Magnolia Hotel is no stranger to weddings and proposals as it is a well-loved staple in Omaha.
If you enjoy strolling through Lauritzen Gardens during the day, you’ll love the chance to tie the knot in this botanical building. It’s one of my favorite Omaha wedding venues for shooting portraits! The Floral Display Hall offers unique architecture and lush foliage for garden-inspired ceremonies, while the adjacent Great Hall is fully customizable to accommodate any wedding style. This venue offers the perfect location no matter the weather on your wedding day.
If you’re planning an intimate celebration or micro wedding in Omaha, you can’t go wrong with Lucile’s Old Market. Its romantic courtyard garden, ivy-covered brick walls, and historic architecture set it apart from the average venue, and its antique-inspired interior will transport you and your guests in time. Without much signage outside, it’s easy to walk past — this wedding venue is truly a hidden gem of Omaha! Your guests will likely be stunned when they walk through the doors. As a photographer who loves green tones, I’ve found Lucile’s to be one of my favorite places to take photos.
Nestled on the edge of West Shores Lake, this gorgeous Omaha wedding venue fits its name — it has quite the waterfront view! I love the versatility of the lakeside balcony at A View West Shores, whether you’re after a scenic outdoor ceremony or a comfortable space for guests to mingle during cocktail hour. The reception halls are modern, elegant, and easy to personalize to your taste. West Shores is the only wedding venue in Omaha on water. I have been known to incorporate outdoor portraits full of greenery at my top-secret photo location at A View West Shores!

Though not downtown, Zenia Omaha is well worth the 20-minute drive to west Omaha to celebrate in this beautiful and modern wedding venue. Its neutral design and floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel warm and inviting with plenty of natural light. There’s also a lovely outdoor courtyard that’s perfect for sunset photos! Zenia Omaha is known for being beautiful and, as funny as it sounds, for offering gorgeous, supportive chairs! When you have a wedding at Zenia, you can rely on their furniture to be beautiful and high quality. Those of us who have sat in a rental chair can understand!
Just a few minutes walk from The RiverFront, Omaha Marriott Downtown offers convenience and luxury in one neat package. Give your guests the full downtown Omaha experience during their stay with countless restaurants and bars within a few blocks. The Capitol Ballroom is large and fully customizable, with onsite planning and catering services making the experience seamless and easy to coordinate. The Omaha Marriott also has my favorite getting-ready suite in town for your wedding party.
Located in the heart of downtown Omaha, Omaha Design Center is a blank canvas venue waiting to transform into your wedding vision. With a light industrial style and 24,000 square feet at your disposal, the possibilities are endless! I love how this venue has a storehouse of furniture and built-in customizable LED lighting, so you don’t have to source additional vendors for rentals and lighting design. If you are having a large wedding, the Omaha Design Center is a must-tour! Request my favorite coordinators, Dalia and Katie, when you go!
Hotel Deco is home to several venue options, but the Rockefeller and Monarch Restaurant are my personal favorites. With moody black walls and a statement floral mural, the Rockefeller Room can accommodate up to 25 people — perfect for intimate weddings, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners in downtown Omaha.
Though not traditionally a wedding venue, The Monarch Restaurant is home to my favorite wedding reception experience as a wedding photographer. If you are a foodie, pay close attention to this restaurant! Since it is not a traditional reception space, it really is a location unique to few weddings — making your day extra special. I promise your guests will be talking about this meal, the wine pairings, and your intimate reception for years.
Founders One • Nine offers an urban, industrial setting with mid-century vibes and tons of downtown charm. With an intimate outdoor ceremony site and an expansive reception space, this Omaha wedding venue is versatile and ready for you to add your own flair. Plus, onsite catering and bar service make it an easy and inclusive planning experience! If you’re considering a summer wedding, the outdoor area transitions seamlessly to an outdoor cocktail hour.
While not a reception venue, I’d be remiss if I didn’t highlight my favorite Omaha wedding venues for ceremonies! Located on Creighton University’s campus, St. John’s Parish is absolutely stunning. The Catholic Church is my favorite wedding ceremony church in Omaha. Showcasing a Gothic Revival style, this church venue features rugged stone walls, soaring ceilings, and gorgeous stained glass windows — the space is simply breathtaking and majestic.
Just look at Katt + Jeremy’s stunning ceremony at St. John’s Parish!
There are few things more charming and intimate than a backyard wedding in Omaha! I often photograph weddings on family estates in midtown neighborhoods, like Happy Hollow, Gold Coast, West Shores, and Bemis Park. There are so many beautiful historic properties in this area that make for an unforgettable wedding experience. And what’s more sentimental than tying the knot in your family’s home?
If your family has a large property, consider using that area for your reception. There are many beautiful tent companies in Omaha to allow for the perfect setup.
No matter your vision, there are many Omaha wedding venues ready to bring it to life! From elegant reception halls and stately country clubs to lush gardens and historic museums, these venues offer beautiful settings, top-notch amenities, and memorable experiences.Once you’ve locked in your wedding date and venue, I’d love to hear more about your choice!
