I couldn’t have asked for a better kick-off as I dove into the busiest month of the year! On a gorgeous June day, a small town boy and a big city girl officially started their lives together.
It was clear that Emily had spent so much time planning each and every detail of her day with impeccable taste. She even found what I have to say are the classiest hog cufflinks I could have ever imagined for her groom! She was able to incorporate Jake’s small town, hard-working, pig farmer family background in the most perfect and subtle way.
Emily got ready in the prettiest colored suite at Hotel Indigo with her sister and mom. After they finished, she surprised them with matching rings to wear together. Then, off they went to see the bridesmaids! They were giddy to see her and they celebrated as she walked through the doors wearing her dress for the first time.
When she had her first look with her father, she handed him a photo album filled with all of her favorite pictures and memories from her childhood. As if we weren’t already emotional enough from her daddy-daughter moment, we headed to The Leo Ballroom for Emily and Jake’s first look! Many tears were shed as they said their private vow.
After a stunning ceremony, a wild party bus, and gorgeous family portraits, it was time for the reception! Their families and friends gathered, danced, and partied it up while the live band played.
The newly titled Bonwell’s and I snuck away for sunset portraits that would become some of my favorite of the entire year. Downtown Omaha did not disappoint with a breathtaking sunset and gorgeous weather for an even more gorgeous couple!
